Studying : Private Candidates
Private Candidates
A private candidate is an external student, who does not attend classes in order to obtain their qualification. A private candidate can be:
- a part-time student;
- someone studying evening courses;
- someone following a correspondence course; or
- someone studying by means of private or self-tuition.
A private candidate is solely responsible for entering themselves in an Edexcel-registered centre for their chosen examination(s) and paying their own entry fees.
