Do you love writing and performing music? How about singing, acting, or maybe dancing? Perhaps you prefer to be backstage controlling the show.

Whatever it is you love about music, the stage and performing, a BTEC Higher National in Performing Arts will set you on the road to making it your career.

All our qualifications have been developed with professional artists, and all include core units on some essential production and arts management skills. After that, you can specialise, and choose to qualify with a Higher National in one of these areas:

Art and DesignBusinessConstruction and the Built Environment
EngineeringHealth and CareHospitality Management

  • Dance
  • Theatre
  • Technical Theatre
  • Music Performance
  • Music Production

Depending on the specialist area you choose, you might learn how to perform, produce and record your own music and music video. Perhaps on tour with a local performance group, you’ll have the chance to show off your newly learnt dancing or acting techniques. Or work behind the scenes in sound, lighting or set design.
