Post Results Services

A number of services are available to support centres following the issuing of GCE, AEA, VCE, GCSE and GNVQ examination results.  A Post Results Services handbook is published for each examination series giving full details of the services available including Key Contacts and Key Dates.  This information will be posted here during the most current results period.  Services for centre staff only include:

Missing & Incomplete Results (MIRs)
This service must only be used for querying 'missing grades', 'no result possible, 'result pending' or 'partial absence' as shown on the result sheets.

Access to Scripts (ATS) Service
Certain scripts will be provided to centres on request. Centres may request photocopies of scripts for the purpose of deciding whether to lodge a formal enquiry or to support teaching and learning. Scripts can provide real examples of work to illustrate strengths and weaknesses as well as assisting centres and/or candidates to better understand where marks were obtained or lost. Original scripts are also made available.

Enquiries About Results (EAR) Service
If a centre is dissatisfied with the grade(s) awarded to an individual or group of candidates, they can challenge the marking.

Appeals Procedure
Following the outcome of an Enquiry About Results, a centre may appeal against the decision.
