Background

These vocational qualifications from Edexcel have been developed to enhance customer service and driving standards for the passenger transport industry.

These BTEC qualifications reflect current legislation and codes of practice produced by Go Skills, the Sector Skills Council for Passenger Transport.

Who should take these qualifications?

All passenger transport drivers, whose role demands high standards in driving and customer service, will benefit from this qualification.

The qualification can be incorporated into the induction programe for new drivers or be used to validate and build upon the existing knowledge of experienced drivers.

The BTEC Award also provides the knowledge required by those who wish to progress to the competence-based NVQ.
