Skillsmart Retail Training Provider Road shows 2008
Skillsmart Retail would like to invite Training Providers to the next round of their road shows. These road shows are designed to inform training providers on the development and implementation of new products and services available to the industry.
Each day will comprise presentations and interactive workshops, which will include the following:
- Skills and qualifications update – Sector qualifications strategy, 14 – 19 Diploma in Retail, Retail Apprenticeships
- Introduction of new tools for employer engagement –Skillsmart Retail’s employer engagement strategy and Pre-employment skills standard
- Best Practice – Workshops to share and build on quality and capacity of provision

Skillsmart Retail will be asking for a contribution of £23.50 (£20+ VAT) towards the running costs of the day, to reserve your place please complete and return the attached booking form to Sairina Ramakrishnan, Skillsmart Retail, via email to sairina@skillsmartretail.com
Registration will be at 10.30 am, for a 10.45am commencement and closing around 3.30pm. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Skillsmart Retail has recently released the 2008 dates for the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events tailored specifically for providers who deliver qualifications in retail.
Aimed at assessors, IVs, lead verifiers, programme managers or anyone that is at the front end of retail NVQ delivery, the events will tackle the issues involved in quality assessment and delivery of NVQs in the retail environment. Primarily, this will promote the process of sharing best practice techniques to ensure successful completion of retail qualifications at any level.
