![]() | The BTEC National Study Guides are a valuable initial resource free to students starting on their BTEC National course. The guides give students an introduction to the way the course is structured and to the study skills they will need. The guides offer examples of the very best resources available to help students make the most of their study. They take materials from a range of the best commercially published texts that are specifically |
designed for National students and have been endorsed by Edexcel. Students will, of course, need to acquire core texts for themselves but these guides will give students a chance to use and form their own view of the support that is available to them and make an informed decision about which type of text they prefer.
Tutors can see how texts can be used to support their teaching by giving students opportunities to read up on something they were not quite clear about in class or to cover a teaching session they may have missed. Students, too, have a ready-made source of notes and can make use of the websites listed, as well as suggested journals and magazines, to broaden their researches.
