Notice
OSCA is an online service that provides centres with year-round support and feedback relating to portfolio/coursework assessment for the following qualifications:
BTEC OSCA gives you access to a range of example assignments and supporting documentation relating to the assessment of BTEC units. BTEC OSCA is available to you through the Edexcel Online service and provides real examples of learner work displayed online, along with full commentaries prepared by Edexcel Senior Verifiers.
BTEC OSCA allows you to:
- compare your assessment decisions against National Standards, through an easy-to-use online interface; and
- standardise your assessment teams and therefore achieve successful outcomes at external verifier visits.
To access the BTEC OSCA Service all you need to do is follow the following three steps:
Step 1
Nominate a main Centre Assessor for each participating programme
Step 2
Ensure that your centre assessor is registered with Edexcel Online. If you are already a registered centre, contact your Edexcel Online administrator to ask them to set up an account for you with OSCA access. If your centre is not yet registered, please nominate an Edexcel Online administrator and ask them to call our Edexcel Online support team on 0870 240 9819 to get you started.
Step 3
Navigate to the BTEC section of Edexcel Online and complete the online OSCA Terms and Conditions and Registration process. This allows centres to choose the levels and sectors they wish to participate in for the current year.
