You only need the specification which details all of the content covered, and gives information on the required coursework and exam.
Equipment, though not essential, may be required for some types of coursework projects.
You can either download a copy from our website or you can order and pay for a hard copy to be sent to your school or college.
The course is 25% coursework and 75% final exam. The coursework consists of two tasks from the lists provided in the specification. The students should carry out one piece of observational work (list A), and one piece of either graphical and computational work (list B1) or constructional work (list B2). The students therefore have a wide range of tasks they can carry out, write up and submit for their coursework.
The final exam is a two-hour, non-tiered exam. This means that there is only one paper that includes questions of foundation and higher level. It will contain a mixture of multiple-choice questions, short answer questions and extended answer questions. As you progress through the paper the questions increase in difficulty.
