Qualifications : Advanced Extension Award
Advanced Extension Awards (AEAs) were introduced in summer 2002 to replace Special Papers.  They are designed to challenge the most able A level students and to provide opportunities for students to show a greater depth of understanding than required at A level.  The qualifications are graded at Merit and Distinction.  We offer AEAs in History, Religious Studies, Mathematics and Spanish on behalf of all awarding bodies.  Details of other AEAs being offered by each awarding body can be found on the QCA website.
