09/05/2003 University of Middlesex presentation of HN Student prize Presentation of award to Silvio Petrasso HND Environmental Health March 2003 This outstanding HND student - Silvio Petrasso has, according to his tutor Lynne Jalalian, always been focused on his goal of becoming an Environmental Health Officer, to the extent that he rises at 4.30am in order to undertake his outside business duties before attending university. Tracie Sewell, studying for her HND in Computing at the Wiltshire College, Trowbridge, is awarded a 2002 BTEC Higher Nationals Student Prize. Edexcel is pleased to announce that Barry Mayled who studies at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff has been awarded a 2002 BTEC Higher National Student Prize.      Barry Mayled being awarded the HN Prize by Yvonne Johns, Edexcel Regional Manager, HEBarry started the HNC Amenity Horticulture course as a mature student after practising architecture in private practice for nearly 30 years.  His decision to retrain was fuelled by his threatened disability as an insulin-dependant diabetic.  This condition is preventing Barry from working at height, which has narrow
