Qualifications Area: How to Use

At the first level, you can either search by qualification family (in the left-hand column) or by subject (in the second column).  By selecting a qualification family (e.g. GCSE), you are presented with a list of all available subjects for that qualification.  By selecting a letter (e.g. ' M') and then a subject from the resulting list (e.g. Mathematics & Numeracy), you are presented with a list of all qualifications in that particular subject.  Whether you choose to search by qualification family or by subject you will also have access to related information, such as questions & answers, other useful websites and notices. 

If you have searched by qualification family, select one of the subjects (e.g. Mathematics) in the second column, and you go to the next level, which provides you with a list of qualifications for that subject.  You will also notice a drop-down box, from which you can select an alternative subject and click “GO”. 

By then selecting a specific qualification under a category (e.g. GCSE (Linear) Mathematics A), you are presented with pdf. documents (specifications, assessment material and teacher guides, etc.) and related information, such as questions and answers, exam times and professional training.  Please note that these items can vary, depending on both the qualification family you are viewing and also availability.
