Edexcel believes over 250,000 students will register to receive their GCSE and A level results online this summer. Last year Edexcel launched ResultsPlus, a free system which shows how students performed in their Edexcel exams, providing question-by-question detail. Over 100,000 students took advantage of this last year and you can see below their response whilst getting their results.
Edexcel’s Managing Director Jerry Jarvis said:
"Our free ResultsPlus service is about empowering students and their teachers, making the examination process more transparent and accessible to them. ResultsPlus also gives teachers the tools to confidently apply their experience year on year.
"Making results available online gives students the opportunity to choose when and where they receive their exam grades. Students – over 61% from our survey - have told us that they would prefer to access their results online at home away from the high emotion of all their peers but with the comfort and support of their families. For some students who may be away from home on holiday, they can also log on and gain access from anywhere in the world from 6am GMT on results day."
Edexcel will issue all participating schools and colleges with individual personal identification numbers (PINs) for their students that will allow them to register to be ready to logon and view their results on results day. Schools and colleges with further enquiries about this process can contact Edexcel on 0844 576 0024.

Good find. It’s a nice idea, and I’d find it very useful but my school didn’t sign up for it (ridiculous considering how it’s free) so I can’t use it.

I already regd up ages ago, i hear that it opens at 8am on the day, my college opens at 9ish, so i know im checking…and how nicely all my exams are under Edexcel helps :D

Well all my exams are with Edexcel and my school has signed up for it so I have registered with my PIN ect. It would be useful providing the site does not crash or anything on the day. And if it does go online at 8am I would be able to find out before I go to school because I think my school opens at 10am.
Iceman_jondoe 13-07-2007 14:35
I was hoping I could check my results online but sadly my school hasnt signed up for results plus :(

Someone who has been e-mailed their login details by Edexcel in a different thread said they could access them at 6am!
I wish someone could clear this up – I don’t want to get up really early just to be disappointed!
The Anthropologist 17-07-2007 12:24
Right then it’s 6am. If that’s what Edexcel say the clearly it’s correct.

Aaaaah I would hate it if there was a problem. I’m so excited about finding out my Physics result early, even if it is just a few hours, every minute counts!

Hey, this may seem like a stupid Question, but is this online service available to all candidates who have taken examinations with Edexcel? or does one need to gain a password from their school/college in order to access this online service? you need a PIN, if you havnt got it from your school, then your school has not registered with the service.

would it kill them to register!!!! i really want this service!!
*Throws tantrum* :D

This online thingy is great. I can check my results peacefully at home. By that, no one will know whether I meet my offer or flunk. But I’ll be pissed off if anything happen like the server down or I can’t log in. Man that would be very frustrating.
MathematicalMind 14-08-2007 17:12
I wish I was finding out all my results through ResultsPlus but it’s only Physics…oh well better than nothing:)
T_Bag 14-08-2007 23:34
50,000 students will be using resultsplus…nice!…. I know sites that can take 100,000….so if they have an expensive server…no problem.
Mit 15-08-2007 14:42
less than 24hrs to go guys. My school opted in for ResultsPlus. I hope that service will go well tomorrow since I took 3 Edexcel subjects. I’m freaken worried right now.
