Edexcel will provide all participants that attend an Edexcel professional development and training course (PD&T)  with a certificate to acknowledge their learning and attendance.

Each certificate has unique security features that prevent it from being photocopied or forged.  These features include a bespoke watermark, a hologram, a microprint, audit numbering, UV ink and thermochromic ink.

Participants in the first PD&T event of 07/8 - GCE Physical Education: Scientific Principles of Exercise and Performance – on the 24th September were the first to be awarded these certificates.

Edexcel’s Managing Director, Jerry Jarvis said “We wanted to acknowledge teachers’ continued professional development with a certificate of the same quality as our students’ certificates.”

Last year Edexcel ran 1,273 national events attended by 20,765 teachers, examiners, employers and other Edexcel customers. Edexcel also hosted 920 customised training sessions at Edexcel Centres

Edexcel plans to host nearly 1,300 national PD&T events across the 2007/2008 academic year.
