04/07/2007    Edexcel sponsors Spaced Out garden at Tatton Park

Edexcel is delighted to be sponsoring the Spaced Out astronomy garden at the Royal Horticultural Society's Tatton Park this July, which is designed by award winning horticulturist Ann Picot - wife of Edexcel's chief examiner for Astronomy - Dr Nigel Marshall.  Over 120,000 visitors are expected at the show.

The garden celebrates the 50th anniversary of the space age and is expected to be one of the focus points for Tatton.  The garden will be opened by Chris Lintott and Lucie Green - both presenters on two TV astronomy programmes, The Sky at Night and Stargate.

Astronomy is just one of the qualifications available for students to take as part of Edexcel's diverse 360Science portfolio, which also includes GCSE, AS/A Level and BTEC qualifications, and the exciting Perspectives on Science which has been generating some interesting accolades from those who teach science.  The BTEC suite also includes an internationally recognised range of horticultural qualifications.
