Edexcel hosted a charity abseil from the roof of its offices in Holborn, London on 23 & 24 June 2006.

Several Edexcel staff were amongst the 100 people from companies across London that took part in the event, which raised over £23,000 for the British Red Cross.

Edexcel has worked with the British Red Cross for a number of years endorsing First Aid skills qualifications to volunteers; this is the third fundraising abseil it has hosted for the charity.

The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. Part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies, the organisation enables vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities.
