Students with questions about their exam results or needing guidance on how to formally follow up on enquiries can now find answers quickly through examzone, a new student-dedicated website, created by Edexcel.
The new service, which includes a telephone helpline, provides students with information on the exam process, what their results mean and answers questions on how to proceed if they have any queries.
Jerry Jarvis, Director of General Qualifications at Edexcel, said: “Students and parents need advice and guidance during what can be a very stressful time. Examzone will help them find the information they need and steer them in the right direction.
“For security reasons and to adhere to the rules of our regulator, we are unable to provide results over the phone and all formal enquiries after results have to come from the school or college. However, the website will help people understand the process and equip them with the knowledge so they can follow the correct channels.”
www.examzone.co.uk was developed with exam officers, students and parents to ensure the right questions are being answered. Nearly 1.5 million students will be receiving GCSE, AS, A level, GNVQ or VCE results from Edexcel this month. It is one of the busiest periods for Edexcel’s call centre, which can take up to 60,000 calls a month. Over 20% of these are from students and parents.
