New Chief Executive for Edexcel
| Garry Hawkes CBE, Edexcel's Chairman, has announced today that John Kerr has been appointed as Chief Executive. Commenting on the appointment, Garry Hawkes said: | |
| "I am delighted that John Kerr has agreed to take on the post of Chief Executive. John has been with Edexcel for three years and, during that time, I have been impressed by his achievements and his customer-focused and results-driven attitude. John brings to the role a wealth of experience with a background in the law, significant expertise in consumer arbitration and regulation issues, and strong business acumen. I am confident that he will take Edexcel forward in the year ahead." | |

I am committed to greatly improving operational efficiency in Edexcel and you will see changes in the weeks and months ahead. By this, I mean going back to basics and doing all of the things that our customers want us to do efficiently and effectively. Put simply, I intend us to be able to get things right first time in the eyes of our customers." |
