Following the January 2002 test announcement, sent to centres on 11 July 2001, Edexcel has increased the number of tests being offered.

A revised listing of AVCE and GNVQ tests that we will be offering in January of next year is provided. A copy will be mailed to all AVCE/GNVQ centres as part of Issue 2 of the Advanced VCE & GNVQ Update for Centres. A copy of the timetable is available on this website under Timetables. A printed copy of the timetable will be mailed to your examinations officer in October.

In determining which tests to offer in January, we have sought to ensure, for the first time, that all students on all AVCE and GNVQ programmes can sit at least half of their compulsory units in January. The large majority of students will be able to sit any of their compulsory units in January and some of the tested optional units. We have not offered tests in January where we would expect the test take-up to be very small, making it difficult to make a sound award.
