Following the announcement regarding "Vocational 'A' levels", by David Blunkett, the Secretary of State for Education & Employment, QCA is now reviewing the GNVQ specifications and proposed assessment. All Edexcel's GNVQ specifications are with QCA and we are awaiting feedback - due by the end of March. Following this, we will be finalising the specifications and anticipate that they will be posted on our website later this term. In the meantime, you may refer to the draft specifications. For the latest in unit titles and methods of assessment, look at our revised Student Guides, which are available for all Edexcel GNVQ Awards.

We plan to send multiple copies of CD ROMs containing all accredited specifications to all centres later this term. Centres may also order hard copies of these materials for despatch as soon as they are available using the forms we mailed to subject heads in December. These forms are also available on our website. The same mailing included updated subject leaflets on INSET provision for the spring and summer terms.
