BTEC in the press - January 2008

At the end of every month we compile all the articles about BTEC which have appeared in the press during that month.

You can now read all the January BTEC stories.

Below is one example from January to give you an idea.

The first screening of “Troubled” - a feature film written, produced, directed and filmed by Jason Impey, former BTEC student of Bedford College - is set to create ripples throughout the film industry.

Bedford College gave Jason a launch pad to his career in film when he completed a BTEC National Diploma in media in 2003.  Jason said: "I always knew I wanted to be a film director but Bedford College gave me the chance to do lots of work on independent film and the encouragement to make it a success."

Another student added: "The course gave us a good mix of theory and practical work and we are still in touch with many people from the course and work with them on films from shorts of three to five minutes to full length feature films such as Troubled which runs for 84 minutes."
